Glashütte (Germany, Saxoni) – A modern museum of time opened its doors on May 22, 2008.
On May 22, 2008, the German Watch Museum Glashütte opened its doors for international public. Conforming to the motto of the museum «The Fascination of Time – Bringing Time to Life», it throws light not only on the historic background of the fine art of watchmaking, but also on its emotional and philosophical sides.
In accordance with the aims of the Foundation German Watch Museum Glashütte - Nicolas G. Hayek, Glashütte Original has created an exhibition journey, conveying the rich history of Glashütte. It also helps the visitors to find out about the sensation of time and its measurement. The project got voluntary aid of Swatch Group and the town of Glashütte. Read the rest of this entry »
